Accessibility Statement.
In accordance with Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523 of the Commission of 11 October 2018 establishing an accessibility statement under Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies
Municipality of Warth | Warth-Schröcken Tourism is committed to making its websites www.warth-schroecken.at | www.warth-schroecken.com accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG) Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 as amended.
This accessibility statement applies to the websites www.warth-schroecken.at | www.warth-schroecken.com.
For improved readability, we do not use both masculine and feminine forms simultaneously. All gender references apply equally to all genders (m/f/d).
Status of Compatibility with the Requirements.
This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council due to the following non-conformities and/or exemptions.
Non-accessible Content.
The following content is not accessible for the following reasons:
1. Non-compliance with accessibility requirements.
Some images lack alternative text, making the information inaccessible to screen reader users. This does not meet WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content). Work is ongoing to resolve this issue.
Some pages feature third-party videos (e.g., YouTube). Since these are outside the control of the Municipality of Warth | Warth-Schröcken Tourism, we cannot guarantee accessible alternatives for visual and audio content. Therefore, WCAG guideline 1.2 may not be fully met.
Some links do not clearly describe their purpose on their own. The destination of the link is not always evident from the surrounding context (e.g., the paragraph it is in), failing WCAG success criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose - in context). Work is ongoing to resolve this.
We aim to avoid abbreviations and foreign words as much as possible, as well as complicated sentence constructions. If any text is unclear to you and thus only partially accessible, please contact us. We will provide you with a simplified version if possible.
Some input fields lack labels or instructions, not meeting WCAG success criterion 3.3.2 (Labels or Instructions). We are working continuously to correct this.
2. Disproportionate burden.
The videos used on our websites are currently not accessible. Adapting them would represent a disproportionate burden under the accessibility regulations.
PDF and Word documents on our websites are not accessible. If you require content from one of these documents, please contact us. We will do our best to provide the information in an alternative format.
3. Content not within the scope of applicable legislation.
Live videos are not subtitled. This does not meet WCAG success criterion 1.2.4 (Live Captions). We do not plan to subtitle live videos, as real-time media is exempt under Directive (EU) 2016/2102. If live videos contain information concerning health, welfare, or public safety, Austrian Sign Language interpretation and post-event transcription will be provided.
Interactive maps are currently not accessible.
Third-party content: Our websites partially rely on content from a decentralized tourism database. Our content partners are encouraged to provide accessible text and media. However, we cannot guarantee the accessibility compliance of third-party content.
Creation of the Accessibility Statement.
This statement was created on May 14, 2025.
