Information about cookies and data protection.

Details about obligation to provide information
Protecting your personal details is very important to us. We process your details exclusively on the basis of statutory provisions (GDPR). In these details about data protection we provide information about the key aspects of data processing in the context of our website.

Contacting us
When you contact us using the form on the website, or by e-mail, the details you enter will be used to process your enquiry and stored by us in the event of subsequent queries. We will not forward these details without your consent.

Web analysis via Matomo
We also use Matomo for the collection and analysis of statistical data regarding the usage of our internet services.
Matomo is installed on our server and stores data solely on our own server in Germany (in-house solution). This way, the data remains under our control and management; there is no transmission or provision to an external web analytics service provider.

For more detailed information on how Matomo works, please visit:
https://matomo.org/guides/

To safeguard your privacy, we have implemented the following measures:

- Activation of the Matomo plugin 'Anonymize-IP': This anonymizes the IP address of each visitor before its storage; it does so by changing the last three octets of the IP address to '0'. This practically eliminates the possibility of tracing back the IP address.
- Matomo logs older than seven days are automatically deleted.
- Tracking Opt-Out: You can decide whether to accept the tracking cookie set by Matomo (see point 7). If you decline cookies, this cookie will not be set.

Furthermore, you can also object to the tracking of other information (including the collection and analysis of your already anonymized IP address) by activating this link. This will store a Matomo deactivation cookie in your browser. Please note that the Matomo deactivation cookie will be deleted if you delete the cookies stored in your browser. Additionally, you must perform the deactivation separately if you access our website from a different computer or web browser.

You can revert this setting by clearing your browser's cache.

Web analysis via Google Analytics
Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The service provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Cookies will also be used to enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated will be transferred to the service provider’s server and stored there. You can prevent this happening by setting your browser in such a way that no cookies are stored.

IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union and in other states that are party to the agreement of the European Economic Area, before transfer to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operators of this website to assess your use of the website, compile reports about website activities and provide additional information about additional services associated with website and Internet use. The IP address transferred from your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be linked to other data stored by Google.

Browser Plug-in
You can prevent the storage of cookies via the relevant setting in your browser software; we would however point out that in this case, not all of the functions of this website will be able to be used in full. You may also prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by using the browser plug-in available for download and installation under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Demograhic characteristics at Google Analytics
This website uses the function ‘demographic characteristics’ from Google Analytics. This enables reports to be created which contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. These details come from interest-related advertising from as well as from visitor details from third party providers. This data can in no way be attributed to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the display settings in your Google account, or generally prohibit the collation of your details by Google Analytics, as outlines in the section ‘Opposition to data collection’.

You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter via the website. For this we require your e-mail address, first name, surname and your consent to receive the Newsletter. To provide you with targeted information, we also compile and process details voluntarily made available about your areas of interest, address, date of birth and on occasion other areas. As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm registration. Using ‘Pixel Tags" we can send e-mail messages in a form that is readable to the customer. We can also check whether e-mails have been opened. We are able to use this information to reduce the number of messages sent to a customer or prevent message transmission. The newsletter subscription can be cancelled at any time, please complete the following form: Unsubscribe from newsletter
We delete your details that are connected to sending the newsletter straight away.

YouTube
Our website uses plug-ins from Google operated site YouTube. Operator of this site is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages that has a YouTube plug-in, a connection will be made with the YouTube servers. This informs the Youtube server which of the sites you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you are enabling YouTube to directly attribute your surfing behaviour to your personal profile. You can prevent this happening by logging out of your YouTube account. More information about the processing of user details can be found in the YouTube data protection statement at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

Facebook & Instagram Plug-ins (Like-Button)
Plug-ins for the social network Facebook are integrated on our site; the service provider is Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. Facebook plug-ins can be recognised by the Facebook logo or the "Like button" ("Like") on our site. An overview of Facebook plug-ins is available here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When you visit our site, the plug-in creates a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site, including your IP address. If you click on the Facebook "Like button" while you are logged in to your Facebook account, the content of our site can be linked to your Facebook profile. Facebook can then attribute your visit to our site to your user account. We would like to point that as operators of this site we have no knowledge of the data transferred, or of its use by Facebook. More information on this matter is available in the Facebook data protection statement at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not want Facebook to link your visit to our site with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.
