Hochalphütte.

Hike from Warth with the Steffisalp Express:

Duration from the mountain station to the reservoir: approx. 1 hour | Difficulty: easy | Distance: 2.5 km

Spitziger Stein Stausee in Warth-Schröcken
Get off to a comfortable start with the Steffisalp-Express, which will take you up the mountain in no time. If you prefer to gain metres in altitude yourself, you can also set off on foot from Warth or the Hotel Jägeralpe. The first destination awaits you at the top station: the Spitziger Stein - a striking rock with a summit cross and great views.

Bürstegg
From the mountain station of the Steffisalp-Express, you set off towards Wannenkopf - a gentle start with a view. The trail continues to the small, historic Walser settlement of Bürstegg, the highest in the whole of Vorarlberg. Up here, a breath of the past wafts through the mountain air - perfect for a short break and a sip from your water bottle.

Körbersee in Warth-Schröcken
The trail starts at Kalbelesee, which rests next to the path like a glittering mountain eye. You hike gently up and down towards Körbersee - one of the most beautiful places in the region. But before you descend to the lake, a narrow path branches off to the left. Here you follow the path uphill, which leads you steadily along a goods track towards Salobersattel and on to Saloberkopf.

Hochalphütte:

The Hochalphütte - a popular refreshment stop with heart and charm, right in the hiking area. This is where rustic cosiness and delicious regional specialities meet. After a hike or cycle tour, the sun terrace beckons with a magnificent view and really good refreshments. Perfect for a break in the mountains!

Auenfelder Hütte.

Hike from Warth:

Duration: approx. 4 hours | Difficulty: medium | Distance: approx. 10 km

Bike & Hike Juppenspitze
If you start in Warth, the Steffisalp-Express takes you up to the top in comfort. From the mountain station, the trail leads over the Spitziger Stein with its great views - be sure to take a look behind the rock, where a hidden reservoir glistens in the midst of colourful meadows. Continue over the Salobersattel up to the Saloberkopf - a detour to the panoramic lake is almost a must here.

Hike from the Hochtannberg Pass:

Duration: approx. 3 hours | Difficulty: medium | Distance: approx. 10 km

Bike & Hike Juppenspitze
Those setting off from the Hochtannberg Pass first hike past the Kalbelesee lake to the Körbersee lake. After a refreshing rest by the water or a dip in the cool water, continue in the direction of Auenfeld. The path meanders gently through the valley, accompanied by the stream and marvellous views. Shortly afterwards, the Auenfeld hut invites you to take a break - thirst quenched, hunger satisfied, heart full. Return along the same route to the Hochtannberg Pass.

Duration: approx. 3 hours | Difficulty: medium | Distance: approx. 10 km | Ascent: approx. 450 m altitude difference

Schröcken also offers a scenic approach: the trail begins behind the parish church, past Alpe Felle and the natural highlight Gletschermühle, on to Batzenalpe and into Auenfeld. After a gentle ascent along the stream, you soon reach the Auenfeld hut - dumplings on your plate, a view of the mountains: what more could a hiker's heart want? For those who want to go further, there is a detour to Körbersee before heading back downhill to Schröcken or the Hochtannberg Pass.

Auenfelder Hütte:

Nestled between lush alpine grass, a babbling brook and framed by gentle hills in the Auenfeld: the Auenfelder Hütte - a place made for enjoyable stopovers, long breaks and hikers with a sweet tooth. Whether it's the legendary dumpling trio, savoury snacks or sweet temptations: It simply tastes like a mountain summer here. And once you sit down, you usually stay longer.

Körbersee.

Hike from the Hochtannberg Pass:

Duration to the lake: approx. 1 hour | Difficulty: easy | Distance: 2.2 km

The quickest route leads from the Hochtannberg Pass, past the Kalbelesee lake on a wider, paved path directly to the Körbersee lake.

Duration to the lake: approx. 2.5 hours | Difficulty: medium | Distance: 4.6 km | Ascent: 440 m

If you want a little more distance in your legs, choose the ascent or descent via Schröcken - a worthwhile option with alpine charm. You start behind the parish church in Schröcken, from where the trail leads towards Alpe Felle.
Bergtour Widderstein
A fantastic path also leads from Schröcken-Nesslegg to Körbersee - ideal for those who prefer a shorter but no less impressive hike. It takes around 45 minutes to walk steadily uphill on a narrow path - accompanied by magnificent views of the mountains, valleys and surrounding nature.

It's a leisurely start - because the Steffisalp Express takes you up the first few metres in altitude. At the top of the mountain station, the hike starts with a detour to the Spitziger Stein, a striking rock with a summit cross and far-reaching views. A real insider tip: the hidden reservoir just behind it, embedded in colourful flower meadows - ideal for a short walk around the lake or simply to marvel at it.

Widdersteinhütte.

Hike from the Hochtannberg Pass:

From the Hochtannberg Pass, a well-marked path leads past the Untere Widdersteinhütte and then uphill for around an hour - to the foot of the imposing Widderstein and the rustic Widdersteinhütte. The ascent is pleasant and rewards you with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.

Via the Tschirggen:

Duration: approx. 4.5 hours | Difficulty: medium | Distance: 12 km

Bergtour Widderstein
On the long straight stretch between Hotel Jägeralpe and Hotel Adler, a goods road branches off in the direction of Tschirggen and Koblatpass. Simply follow the path until a narrow path winds up the slope on the left - the path to the Koblatpass and on to the Gemstelpass.

Duration: 5 hours | Difficulty: medium | Distance: 12 km | Ascent: 780 m / Descent: 520 m

Widdersteinhütte
The trail starts in Warth and leads along the Lechweg to Gehren. From there, the route continues along the municipal path to the last house, where the ascent towards Gehrnerberg begins.
Following the well-marked path, the route first leads to the Koblatpass before continuing to the Gemstelpass and finally to the Widdersteinhütte. There, the impressive view and the savoury delicacies of the hut invite you to take a well-deserved break.

Luckily, the Widdersteinhütte is located right at the foot of the Widderstein and invites you to take a well-earned break after the descent - with a portion of the view.

The Widdersteinhütte - rustic, charming and in the middle of the mountains at the foot of the imposing Widderstein. After a varied tour, warm hosts and hearty delicacies invite you to savour and recharge your batteries. The deckchairs on the sun terrace and the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding mountains are so inspiring that you'll want to stay forever - here, stopping for a bite to eat is a real treat!

Punschhütte.

The Punschhütte is only around 15 minutes away from the Steffisalp Express mountain station, making it an ideal place to stop for refreshments on any hike around the mountain station.

It is also right on the way if you prefer to walk up or down instead of taking the cable car.

Hike from Warth:

Duration to Punschhütte: approx. 1-1.5 hours | Difficulty: medium | Ascent: approx. 350 metres in altitude

The Punschhütte can also be easily reached on foot from Warth. The ascent begins at the valley station of the Steffisalp-Express and initially leads up to the hut on the goods road, later on a narrower path. If you prefer a more leisurely walk, stay on the goods road and hike via the Lucheralpe to the Punschhütte.

Between summit & pleasure:

Karhorn Klettersteig
After a summit victory, there is hardly anything better than a cosy stop at a mountain hut. Fortunately, the Punschhütte is located right at the foot of the Wartherhorn and welcomes you for a well-earned refreshment after climbing the Wartherhorn or the Karhorn via ferrata!

The Punschhütte in Warth - the perfect spot for an enjoyable break in the middle of the mountains. Whether after a hike, a via ferrata ascent or simply in between: A cosy atmosphere, hearty classics and sweet treats await on the sun terrace. Here, body and soul can recharge their batteries - and the view comes for free!

Biberacherhütte.

Summit paradise:

Thanks to its fantastic location, the Biberacher Hütte is the perfect place for a well-earned break after numerous summit tours. The Hochkünzelspitze (2,397 m) and the Rothorn (2,239 m) tower right next to it - two peaks that can be ideally combined with a cosy stop at the hut.

The quickest way from Warth-Schröcken is via the goods road from Landsteg. An insider tip for all cycling fans: the ascent is even more relaxed on a mountain bike or e-bike!
