From safety check to how to put on your ski skins properly, to the easiest technique for ascending, you get instruction on the key basics of ski touring here. A short and easy ascent, followed by a lovely descent, then awaits you here. This is the optimum tour for getting some initial impressions of what ski touring is like.

Equipment: Safety equipment, tour skis and skins (available at Sport Jug)
Pre-requisites: Parallel skiing, some experience of deep snow
Registration: by 4:00 pm the day before
